It's the most wonderful time of the year! With the holidays upon us, I love to shift from my usual minimalist approach to fully embrace the festive spirit. Celebrating with family and friends means indulging in delightful experiences, and a hot chocolate board adds that perfect touch of warmth and cheer.

During this joyful season, I often find myself surrounded by tempting treats. Despite my sweet tooth, I crave variety when it comes to dessert. A steaming mug of hot chocolate feels luxurious yet comforting, especially when I'm too full for another cookie. Homemade hot cocoa is the ideal way to enjoy a delicious, cozy drink!

Here's my recipe for an unforgettable hot chocolate board:
- Hot Cocoa Mix (see recipe below!)
While you can prepare hot cocoa on the stove, it's fun to have a jar or bowl of cocoa mix ready next to a kettle of hot milk or water. Guests can serve themselves a fresh, warm mug of cocoa! - Marshmallows
There are countless marshmallow varieties available now. From vegan options to flavored and chocolate-coated ones, the choices are endless! I like to mix different sizes and shapes for added visual appeal and to cater to everyone's preferences, whether they love classic mini marshmallows or just one big fluffy marshmallow. - Sauces
Adding sauces and whipped cream elevates your cocoa experience. Try drizzling chocolate sauce in the bottom of the mugs for an extra chocolatey touch or rim the mugs with salted caramel for a delightful twist. - Peppermints and Candy Canes
Though not everyone thinks mint pairs well with chocolate, I'm a fan of peppermint chocolate and invite everyone to join in. A candy cane hanging from the mug not only enhances the festive feel but also serves as a stirrer! - Cookies and Chocolates
While these are more of an accessory, keep them to a minimum. Think of chocolate-coated tuiles that double as drink stirrers and truffles that add an extra chocolatey kick when dropped into the cocoa.

Snuggle up with a warm cup of cocoa, and remember to leave some for Santa!
