Need in-person help before the tax filing deadline? The IRS is opening offices on select Saturdays in February, March, and April to assist with tax inquiries.
If you haven't filed your 2023 tax return yet and need some guidance, you're in luck. IRS staff will be available on specific Saturdays over the next few months to answer your questions before the tax deadline (which is April 15 for most).
The IRS has announced Saturday hours for face-to-face assistance at numerous Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) nationwide. Unlike regular hours, no appointments are needed for this Saturday service. Specific dates and times will be released soon, here on the IRS website.
During these Saturday hours, visitors can access all services normally available at an office, except for cash payments. You can also inquire about setting up an online account or obtaining an Identity Protection PIN, among other topics.

If you're planning to seek help in person before the filing deadline, make sure to bring the following:

- Any IRS letters or notices you've received (along with related documents)

During your visit, IRS personnel may ask for this information:
- Your current mailing address
- Bank account details used on your tax return for direct deposit of payments or refunds directly
