Since Bridgerton became a holiday sensation, a fresh trend in home decor has emerged: Regencycore.
Rightmove recently reported a spike in searches for properties inspired by Bridgerton in the UK. Meanwhile, luxury bedroom retailer The French Bedroom Company noted a 25% rise in sales of its four-poster beds and ornate gold furniture since the show debuted, as customers seek to capture the Bridgerton look.
'Our silk and velvet beds have been flying off the shelves as people try to bring the Regencycore vibe into their homes,' shares Georgia Metcalfe, the brand's founder and creative director. 'Regencycore thrives on extravagance; the more elaborate, the better!' she adds.

Bridgerton debuted in December 2020, offering a much-needed escape during winter lockdowns, while also igniting a new trend in home styling.
The series follows the romantic escapades of the Bridgerton family in early 1800s England. While the plot captivates, it's the lavish sets and stunning costumes that have viewers eager to recreate the Regencycore aesthetic at home.
After watching Bridgerton, fashionistas are posting pictures in modern outfits paired with corsets. Interior enthusiasts are on the hunt for furniture and decor reminiscent of their favorite show's backdrop.

Regencycore reimagines the opulent styles of the Regency era, characterized by ornate and grand designs that are evident in the series.
Key elements of Bridgerton's Regencycore include candelabras, gilded mirrors, console tables, marble surfaces, four-poster beds, intricate plasterwork, chandeliers, toile de jouy fabrics, and luxurious sofas. Extravagance is essential to this style.

Wallpaper specialists Graham & Brown also reports a growing interest in Regencycore. 'The 1800s provide an incredible source of interior inspiration, and with shows like Bridgerton gaining traction, Regencycore is trending,' explains Paula Taylor, the company's color and trend expert. 'This bold and extravagant style is a perfect excuse to embrace grand decor, from candelabras to ornate mirrors.'
'Updating your walls can transform any space into a scene from your favorite series,' she adds. 'Toile wallpaper can infuse personality, while textured florals and damask create stunning feature walls. For a modern twist, pastel shades like duck egg evoke a touch of Marie Antoinette.'
Pam Gruhn, founder of Frenchic Furniture Paint, notes a revival of Regency aesthetic, stating, 'It's wonderful to see Bridgerton reignite interest in Regency style, one of the most influential eras in interior design and fashion.'
She adds, 'Our eco-friendly chalk paint collection features beautiful Bridgerton-inspired shades. Eye Candy, a soft sage green, is quite popular right now.
'For a more vibrant option – channel the daring palette of the Featherington family with our Hot As Mustard shade. Both shades pair beautifully with Regency-era wallpapers, especially as accent walls.'
