The Tineco Pure One Station box is bulkier than typical cordless vacuums due to its weight. Inside, you'll find the vacuum, wand, ZeroTangle Power Brush head, Mini Power Brush, a 2-in-1 crevice and brush tool, two cleaning brushes, and the OmniHub cleaning station. Assembly is simple, requiring you to connect four parts for the cleaning station, then plug it in and dock the vacuum to start charging.

The cordless vacuum

The vacuum features Tineco's 'iLoop sensor' that detects varying dust levels, adjusting suction automatically. It rivals similar models from Dyson and Shark, and its floor head lights illuminate debris. A digital display shows key information, including dust detection, battery status, and mode settings.

The ZeroTangle Power Brush is designed to minimize hair wrap, and a Mini Power Brush is included for cleaning furniture and upholstery. The stylish vacuum and cleaning station share a modern purple and black design. The cleaning station cleans and empties the vacuum after each use, meaning you'll only need to empty it every 60 days, thanks to its 3-liter capacity and regular maintenance of the HEPA filter and brush roll.

Using the Tineco Pure One Station

Initially, the Tineco Pure One Station may feel different from a typical cordless vacuum due to its advanced features. The cleaning station provides voice prompts during emptying and cleaning, but the noise can overshadow the messages, making them less useful. Users can adjust the volume or mute these prompts as needed.

Both vacuum and station have informative displays

This vacuum glides smoothly, making it a pleasure to maneuver. It's lightweight and operates quietly without sacrificing power. However, its LED lights may not effectively reveal hidden dirt, particularly in darker areas.

Tineco Pure One Station: Performance Tests

For our tests, we used flour and sugar as stand-ins for common household debris. Flour is particularly effective for visual assessments of cleaning efficacy.

Residual flour in the cracks

Hard Floors (Wood & Linoleum)
The Tineco Pure One Station performed well, capturing almost all debris on the first pass, with some residual flour remaining in the cracks. After a few extra runs, it picked up everything. However, it struggled with edges near walls, needing multiple passes to achieve a clean finish.

Carpets
On carpets, the Tineco required several passes to clean thoroughly, and while the boost mode was helpful, it didn't meet expectations.

Tineco Pure One Station: Pantry Test

For larger debris, we used cereal and red lentils as examples. Cereal mimics larger items, while lentils have a texture that makes them stick to floors.

Hard Floors (Wood & Linoleum)
The vacuum had difficulty sucking up large debris when it was present in large amounts, often pushing it around instead. Moving slowly improved results, but it occasionally failed to recognize when a boost was needed. Smaller debris was handled well.

Carpets
On carpets, it effectively picked up the larger solids on the first pass, with remaining crumbs collected on subsequent runs.

Tineco Pure One Station: Hair Test

To test hair collection, we used cut hair extensions across various surfaces, simulating pet hair conditions.

Hard Floors (Wood & Linoleum)
The vacuum excelled at removing hair from hard surfaces, achieving complete pickup in one go.

Carpets
It performed similarly well on carpets, collecting all hair in one pass.

Tineco Pure One Station: Cleaning & Maintenance

With a spacious 3-liter capacity, the cleaning station allows for extended use before requiring attention. Its dark tint obscures contents and features a soft closure to contain odors. The self-emptying process is impressively quick, removing dustbin contents almost instantly, though it does so at a loud volume, which may startle pets or neighbors.

Comparing the Tineco Pure One Station

In terms of competition, the Samsung Bespoke Jet Pro stands out for its remarkable suction power and maneuverability, originally priced above $700 but now available for $500, making it competitive with the Tineco Pure One Station. Both models have similar features, but the Tineco offers a larger dustbin and digital display while the Samsung provides more reliable suction.

Also in the mix is the Dyson V12 Detect Slim, which lacks a cleaning station but boasts superior dust detection and suction power, appealing to users prioritizing performance.

Should You Choose the Tineco Pure One Station?

While it may seem like a splurge, the Tineco vacuum presents an appealing array of features, including adaptive suction, smooth operation, and a practical digital display. The cleaning station effectively seals and stores dirt for up to two months.

Despite some performance limitations in tests, the Tineco Pure One Station still manages to deliver satisfactory results in most cleaning scenarios.

Our Testing Methodology

We employ a rigorous testing process to evaluate vacuums, simulating real-life conditions by testing various substances on carpets, wood, and linoleum. In addition to this controlled testing, I've utilized the Tineco Pure One Station in my own home.
