Nothing beats an ice cream sundae for a nostalgic treat. During a hotel-themed girls' night, Camille delighted everyone by drizzling her mom's famous Kahlua Hot Fudge Sauce over vanilla ice cream, garnished with coconut flakes, pecans, and maraschino cherries. Delicious!



Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Kahlua
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
- In a heavy 1 ½ qt. saucepan, combine cocoa powder and sugars.
- Add cream, Kahlua, and butter. Stir over medium heat until the mixture reaches a boil. Maintain a boil while stirring for 1 minute.
- Take off the heat and mix in vanilla. Allow it to cool and store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.

I have a question regarding the Kahlua Hot Fudge Sauce. Does it require homemade whipped cream, or is it just regular whipping cream? Thanks!
